Stanley Paul “Hooker” Lawrence, Jr., 52 of Cross Lanes died Thursday, May 27, 1999 at the University of Kentucky Hospital in Lexington, Kentucky from injuries sustained in an automobile accident in Lexington on April 14, 1999.
He was a general contractor, an inventor, an U.S. Army veteran and a member of the Abney Street Church of God, St. Albans.
He is survived by his: Wife: Carol; 2 Sons: Christopher Eric Lawrence of Eleanor, W V; Stanley Paul Lawrence, III of Cross Lanes, WV; 2 Daughters: Jessica Elizabeth Crites ofPoca, WV; Julia Sovine ofTeays Valley, WV; Mother: Arlene Lawrence of South Charleston, WV; 4 Brothers: Pastor Jack Lawrence of St. Albans, W V; David Lawrence of South Chazleston, WV; Dan Lawrence of Tampa, FL; Timothy Lawrence of Nitro, W V; 4 Sisters: JanePauley of Nitro, WV; Victoria Thaxton of Pt. Pleasant, WV; Rose Mary Bolanos of Largo, FL; Candy Thomason of Bradenton, FL; 2 Granddaughters.
Services will be held at the Abney Street Church of God, St. Albans, on Sunday, May 30, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Jack Lawrence officiating. Burial with military graveside rites given by the Alum Creek VFW Post #4768 will be held in the Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Saturday, May 29, 1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.
