Nettie E. McCartney, 87 of Alum Creek, died Sunday, April 30, 2000 at St. Francis Hospital, Charleston, after a long illness.
She was preceded in death by her husband Gray McCartney, was a former nurses aid at McMillion Hospital in Charleston and she was a Christian.
She is survived by her: Daughter: Jane Holovic of Alum Creek, WV; Brother: James Kinder of Blue Creek, WV; 2 Sisters: Florence Hartley of Inverness, FL; Rose Weema both of Inverness, FL; 8 Grandchildren 10 Great Grandchildren 1 Great Great Grandchild.
Services will be held at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, May 3, 2000 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Jesse P. Waggoner officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 2, 2000 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
