Kenneth (Ken) Lee Lawrence passed away at his childhood home on October 28, 2023 in Sycamore, West Virginia at the age of 61. He was the most selfless devoted husband to his wife Lynda Lawrence. Ken spent most of his life loving his family and the Lord.

He was preceded in death by his mother Helen Lawrence, brother Ronnie Lawrence, mother-in-law Narci Cooper and grandsons Caleb Skeenes and Gae Wood. He is survived by his two daughters Nikki (Brandon) Bays of Saint Albans, West Virginia and Chelsie (Rusty) Shaffer of Griffithsville, West Virginia. His father Frank (Sammy) Lawrence, sister Linda (Junior) Mosteller, father-in-law Bernard Cooper and half siblings Darrien (Trina) Keeling and Joe (Ashley) Wood and Angie and Shawna Keeling along with many nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

As much as he loved his two girls, his grandchildren brought him an incomparable amount of joy. Caleb Skeenes, Olivia Hughes, Logan Bays, & Kenzie & Aydin Shaffer were his whole world, & he made sure everyone knew that.

Ken spent most of his time capturing every moment he could have with his family and a new joke was told everyday. He loved to fish and hike. He made wood work and created different pieces. He enjoyed being able to attend every sporting event his grandchildren played and followed them around state to state to watch them play. One of his most memorable moments that he never failed to brag about was being apart of the 1978 Duval High School Football State Championship. Ken put others before himself, his job was based off talking and helping people get through any obstacles that they faced. He was the most selfless man and he will be greatly missed. Though our heart aches we know he was received into the kingdom of heaven where his mother and grandson were there waiting.

Service will be 1:00 PM, Wednesday, November 1, 2023, at Sumerco Church of God with Pastor Richard McCallister officiating. Burial will follow at James E. Stowers Cemetery. Family and friends will gather 1 hour prior to the service at the church.
