Eulah Fay Duncan “The Queen”, 93, of South Charleston went to be with the Lord, Thursday, September 21, 2023, at Hubbard Hospice West.
Eulah was a homemaker and a Christian. Lovingly referred to as “The Queen”, she was an awesome seamstress, and a competitive backgammon player who may cheat occasionally if you weren’t paying attention. She was an immaculate housekeeper and fabulous cook, especially her homemade spaghetti. She loved her flower and vegetable gardens and being outdoors doing everything from mowing the grass to scrubbing down her house, and her hard work ethic was unmatched. She faithfully read two newspapers for years, never missed watching Judge Judy, and loved listening to gospel music, especially the Gaither’s and the Cathedrals. She was very invested in her grandkid’s lives, supporting them in all sports, and teaching them lifelong skills like cooking and sewing.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby; son, Mark; and parents, Terry & Gladys Webster Lilly.
Eulah is survived by her daughters, Denise (Bill) Hannan and Kimberly (Scott) Rodeheaver; her grandchildren, who were the light of her life, Andrew (Melanie) Duncan, Stephanie (Austin) Baker, Monica (Joshua) Scott, and William (Barbara) Hannan, III; several great grandchildren.
Funeral service will be 1:00 p.m., Tuesday, September 26, 2023, at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Earl Pennington officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery, South Charleston. Friends and family will gather one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to HospiceCare, 1606 Kanawha Blvd. W, Charleston, WV 25312.
