JR was a beloved commenter on the Balloon Juice blog, writing as JR in WV. His presence there is much missed.
Sorry to hear of his passing. I was blessed to read him at Balloon Juice. Condolences to his family.
JR was a valued commentator on our blog Balloon-Juice. We only learned the sad news today, but we had noted his absence and was hoping he was focusing on rehab and healing. RIP, JR.
I am so sorry to hear of J.R.’s passing. We became good friends while working at WVDEP. He will be greatly missed.
JR and I shared many ideas and lunches while we worked together at WVDEP and at his beautiful house nestled in the woods. He was a caring, thoughtful and wise person. I could always count on him for sage advice. I am deeply saddened by his passing and know that now the world is one fine human being and environmentalist short.
