Sue Carol Childress, 88, of South Charleston, WV, died on Tuesday, June 3, 2025, at Hubbard Hospice West, South Charleston.  She is preceded in death by her husband, Edward Ray Childress, parents, Paul & Ruby “Jack” Bowman Hill, sister, Linda Stowers and brother, Johnny Hill.

Sue was a graduate of Duval High School and a homemaker and caregiver.

She is survived by her daughter, Laura Childress, sons, Larry Childress and Paul Henson, and granddaughter, Hannah Henson. She is also survived by several nieces, nephews, and extended family.

She will be laid to rest beside her husband at Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek, WV.  There will be a private burial service.
