Kenneth Lee Vickers, 76, of Alkol passed away unexpectedly Thursday, September 21, 2017 while working on his farm.
Kenny never met a stranger and made many close friends in his farming business during his retirement years. He worked in his early years as a sheet metal worker, then a heavy equipment operator in the coal mining reclamation.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Hal and Garnette Vickers, brother, Harry and uncle, Harvey Kelley.
Kenny is survived by his wife of 58 years, Margaret; children, Jeff (Debbie) Vickers, Monica (Joey) Linville and James Vickers; sister, Kathleen (Jim) Wadsworth; brother, Jack (Ruth) Vickers; grandchildren, Clint, Andrew, Austin, Riley, Jamie and Erica; great grandchildren, Lilly and Fallon; aunt, Wynoka Kelley and special cousin Elnorah Rivers.
Service will be 3:00 p.m. Sunday, September 24, at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Darrell Searls officiating. Burial will follow at Stone Cemetery in Alkol. The family will receive friends from 1:30 – 3:00 p.m. Sunday prior the funeral service.
