Deloris Ann Justice, age 90, of Sod, a beloved mother, grandmother, great-grandmother, sister, and friend, passed away after a short illness on December 31, 2024, at CAMC Hospice House.
Born on May 25, 1934, Deloris was a devoted follower of Christ and attended Vision of Harvest Church. She dedicated 48 years to working at Fas Check and spent the last 20 years as her sister Phyllis Pauley’s caregiver. She was a loving and caring woman who enjoyed sewing, quilting, and making her well-known and loved peanut butter fudge.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Justice; her parents, Henry and Opal Pauley; and several siblings.
She is survived by her two children, Danny (Ann) and Tonia (David); four grandchildren, Christina (Alan), Danielle (Lynn), Erin (Mac), and Justin; and 10 great-grandchildren. She is also survived by her sister and best friend, Betty Anderson; her brother, Freddie (Marta) Pauley; her sister, Teressa Hurley; and her best friend, Jean Bays.
A funeral service will be held on Saturday, January 4, 2025, at 2 p.m., at Curry Funeral Home Alum Creek with Pastor Billy Silva officiating. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service. Burial will follow at Lively Cemetery, Sod.
