MAYWOOD A. TURLEY, 89 OF SUMERCO, DIED FRIDAY, SEPTEMBER 29, 1995 AT HOME AFTER AN APPARENT HEART ATTACK.
HE WAS A RETIRED COAL MINER FROM THE Y&O COAL CO. AT VAN, WEST VIRGINIA AND A MEMBER OF THE UMWA. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE MCCORKLE FREEWILL BAPTIST CHURCH AND A LIFE LONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY.
HE IS SURVIVED BY: 3 DAUGHTERS: DORIS HARLESS OF SO CHARLESTON, WV; LYNDEL SHAFFER OF ST ALBANS, WV; GATHA ESTEP OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 SON: DENZIL TURLEY OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 BROTHER: CECIL TURLEY OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 15 GRANDCHILDREN; 25 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN; 12 GREAT GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE 1:00 PM MONDAY, OCTOBER 2, 1995 AT THE CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, WITH PASTOR ROE SMITH AND PASTOR OSHEL BELL OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE IN PINE GROVE CEMETERY AT SUMERCO. FRIENDS MAY CALL FROM 6 TO 8 PM ON SUNDAY AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
