Gustavia Boling, 81, of Sod, died Monday, July 29, 2002, at Heartland of Charleston.

She was a homemaker. She was preceded in death by James Saddler.

She is survived by: 2 Sons: Leroy Boling of Nitro, WV Jessie Boling of Charleston, WV; 4 Daughters: Mary Stewart; Mildred Dunlap; Deloris; Thelma Priestley.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Friday, August 2, 2002 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, McCorkle. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

Earl R. Cawthon, 83 of South Charleston, died Sunday, July 21, 2002 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston.

He was retired from Columbia Gas, a member of Spring Hill Baptist Church, and was a Nary veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his: 1 Daughter: Debbie Hanson of South Charleston, WV; 1 Granddaughter: Angie Diehl; 2 Great Granddaughters: Taylor and Natalee Diehl;

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Tuesday, July 23, 2002 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Dennis Barnhart officiating. Burial will be held in Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek. Friends may call one hour prior to the service on Tuesday.

Hallene Clark, 83, of St. Albans, died Thursday, July 18, 2002 at CAMC Memorial Division.

She was a homemaker and member of Trinity Baptist Church, St. Albans. She was preceded in death by her husband, Mirrell Clark and son, William “Bill” Clark.

She is survived by: 3 Daughters: Janice and husband, Harold Stowers of Winfield, WV; Judy Hale of St. Albans, WV; Mary L. and husband, Jimmy McCormick of Scott Depot, WV; 1 Son: Lany and wife, Linda Clark of Scott Depot, WV; 1 Sister: Came Miller of Ruthdale, WV; 4 Brothers: Sharrell Miller of Hamlin, W V Freddie Miller of Madison, WV; Gary Miller of Brunswick, OH; David Miller of Yawkey, WV; 8 Grandchildren. Billy, Cheyenne, John, Jennifer, Lee, Leah, Mary Beth & Jamie;
2 Great Granddaughters: Abigail & Josie; Caregiver: Betty Elkins.

Services will be 2:00 PM Sunday, July 21, 2002 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creekwith Rev. Ron Lee and Pastor Jackie Clazk officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call Saturday, July 20, 2002 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Virginia Curry Beury

Virginia Curry Beury, 97 of Charleston, died Thursday, July 11, 2002 in Heartland of Charleston after a long illness.

She was a retired secretary for Charleston General Hospital with 20 years service. She was a member of St. Marks United Methodist Church, Charleston. Mrs. Beury was bom in Lincoln County and was a resident of Kanawha County for 90 years. She also was preceded in death by her husband Richard L. Beury.

She is survived by her: 3 Nieces: Margazet McClure of Sherman, TX; Ann Curry Piazza and Billie Curry Kirk both of Newazk, DE; 1 Nephew: Edward Curry of Virginia Beach, VA.

Memorial service will be held at the St. Marks United Methodist Church, Charleston on Wednesday, July 24, 2002 at 10:30 AM with Rev. Mark Fisher officiating. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek is in charge of arrangements.

Alonza “Tommy” Wiseman, 65, of Charleston, WV passed away on Friday, July 5, 2002 at Hubbard Hospice House, Charleston.

He was a maintenance man at the YWCA. He was preceded in death by his parents Daniel & Gretchen Wiseman; his wife, Shirley Kidd Wiseman and 4 sons.

He is survived by: 4 Daughters: Rita Johnson of Sanford, FL Teresa Duckett of Atlanta, GA; Terri Smith of Martinsburg, WV; Betty Wiseman of Athens, WV; 7 Grandchildren.
