James W. Gillenwater, 58 of Alum Creek, died Sunday, April 16, 2000 at home after a long illness.
He was a former painter for Dale Raynes, was retired from Lester Raines, was a member ofthe Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church, and was a life long resident of Lincoln County.
He is survived by his: Wife: Virginia; 3 Sons: James Allen Gillenwater of Hagerstown, MD; Michael Gillenwater of St. Albans, WV; Joey Gillenwater of South Charleston, WV; 4 Sisters: Betty Dunlap of Sumerco, WV; Helen Steele of Hurricane, WV; Ruby Sandt of Winfield, WV; Janet Jones of Winfield, WV; 2 Brothers: Darrell Gillenwater of Alum Creek, WV; Kenneth Gillenwater of Robertsburg, WV; 3 Grandchildren.
Services will be held at the Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, April 18, 2000 at 1:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held in Lively Cemetery, Sod. Friends may call on Monday, April 17, 2000 from 7 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.
