We both worked for Tom at the Materials Control Division of the DOH. He was a wonderful man & we
were blessed to call him our friend. He will be missed, but, wonderful memories will remain in our hearts. Our thoughts & prayers go out to the Dugan family.
The Dugan family,
I worked with Tom at the Materials Division for many years. You will probably not remember me but I knew Tom well. We traveled a lot together to meetings and such and I remember that every time we went to Morgantown for a research review he would visit with one of the daughters who was in school up there. I haven’t seen Tom since he retired but I have a lot of memories of working together. I’ll share one memory with you: Tom wore a beard when he came to work with us. I recall one day in, I think, 1963 when I walked up the hallway of the laboratory section of our Michigan Ave Building and passed a new face that I didn’t recognize. I learned later that day that the “new face” I passed was new only in that Tom had shaved his beard. As you will remember, the appearance had changed completely. My thoughts and prayers are with you as you memoralize Tom. He was a good man.

Uncle Tom was the most quiet man I’ve known. He always treated me well and was always smiling (although sometimes from behind a big beard). I remember him always helping someone and never heard him raise his voice. Although I wasn’t around him much growing up, I will always have fond memories of him. He will be missed. My prayers to the family.
Lorena Clemans is next door and noticed that Tom had died.
I spoke with Pastor Frankie on the phone. We will be praying for you,
Shirley, and your family. May God comfort you all.
