Hi in his granddaughter, thank you so much for you concern an kindness! A year after this and it still is to hard to talk or read about. It was so nice to have seen someone comment on here. I hope you and your family are doing good, and I don’t know those verses but I will be looking them
Up first chance I get! Thank you again!
I didn’t have the pleasure of knowing Mr. McCallister, but I wanted to take the time to say that I am so sorry for your loss. No doubt you would love to be with him again. Jesus showed that it is possible for us to be with our loved ones again. He showed that he has all authority over death. And he promised to reunite us with our loved ones just like when he resurrected different ones in the Bible and he gave them back to their families. I too have lost many loved ones over the last 5 years, and I too long to see all of them again. I do hope you are being comforted by your gift of prayer and the comfort from the Bible. I just wanted to share with you some of the scriptures that have brought me comfort through the loss of loved ones. I hope you are comforted as well.
Psalms 37:11,29
Isaiah 25:8
John 5:28,29
John 11:25
Acts 24:15
Revelation 21:4
Dad, what can I say? You raised me and taught me so much in my life. We have done so many things together its crazy. We loved to travel you went with me to Charlottesville, Va; Myrtle Beach; North Carolina and all over West Virginia. You watched me while I was at home cheerleading at the basketball games, and singing. You followed me to New York and was faithful just to get a glimpse of me on the New York stage. I know what a battle you had to endure just to get to see a glimpse of that stage. You told me a long time ago Pamela the reason why I am so hard on you is because I Love you and want you to grow up to be a GREAT young lady. I thought you were just being mean but know after raising 2 kids of my own I get it dad. Let the men Open the door for you, sit up straight when your eating, chew with your mouth closed, do not drink with food in your mouth, put your hand in your lap, always try to better yourself no matter what you do in life. Our favorite restaurant was Ryan’s Restaurant on Corr G. I was grateful to have my last meal with my dad two months before he was taken November 2012 at Ryan’s Restaurant. I will never forget it. Dad I Love you very much miss you like crazy. I know why you would not follow me to Texas or New York. You loved baby Jacob and he was the love of your life. May you rest in peace.
