Lois was a beautiful lady both inside and out. I really loved the opportunity that I enjoyed being around her. Memories of her, Pam, Bob, and the rest of the family is thought of frequently. I miss her and her family. I remember when she held Sam in her arms. This is probably my favorite memory of her.
I want to extend my sincere condolences to Lois’ family. I worked in the same unit at WV DHHR with Lois in the 1970s and remember her kindness and lovely Texas accent. She served as somewhat of a surrogate mother to many of us younger ladies in her unit. She was always there to listen and give sage advice when we had a problem. I also recall her love for and devotion to her husband, Mac, and to her daughters. You were very lucky to have her as your mother.
I was so sorry that I did not learn of her passing until today and missed the visitation and service.
Sincerely, Judy Atwood Talbott
Dear Pam, Patty, and Nancy, and all of your Family,
Though I havn’t seen you all in many years, I’ve thought of you many times. Lois was such a good friened of mine through work, and she always extended her hand of friendship through conversation, delicious meals, and the love of her family. Her abiding religious faith was a part of her at all times. She was strong, and I am amazed at her long, beautiful life. It was a pleasure and a privilege for me to get to know all of you. I am confident that your Mom is already in the presence of our Lord and Savior, joining with your wonderful Dad in ths singing of hymns of praise forever and ever. I pray that God will comfort you in your loss, and I am so thankful that your mother was a part of our lives.
With love and deepest sympathy,
