Bruce was a remarkable teacher and person. He went way beyond his regular educational duties to help construct support systems for his students. He cared for the whole child, not just the child in school. To me, those are the highest praises that a teacher can receive. Plus…..he was a kind and giving friend. What a loss for his family, friends, and community! I’ll miss you, Bruce, as I fondly remember your calm demeanor and friendly face.

It is really difficult to think Bruce is gone. He and I worked together at Midway. He was a great teacher, and he was an exceptional Math teacher. Aside from teaching class every day, Bruce also helped several students prepare for Math Field Day and the Spelling Bee during his career. Bruce was very giving, and if you needed help with anything, he was there to help. He loved his students, friends, family, and cats. He had a big heart and a love for life. I am thankful I was able to be his coworker during some of his final years of teaching. My condolences and prayers go to his family and friends.
