John L. Myers, 73, of Alum Creek passed away Sunday, July 3, 2022, at home.

John was born on February 24, 1949, to the late John L. Myers IV and June Priestley Myers.

In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by his brother, Clarence (Moon) Myers.

John is survived by his son, John L. Myers, VI (Nikki) and grandchildren, Gabriel and Logan Myers of Chesapeake; son, Mark Anthony Myers of Alum Creek; and brother, Rodney (Jingle) Myers.

John served his country in the United States Army during the Vietnam War and worked as a Lineman after serving in the military.

Johnny loved his family and friends. He loved to fish, hunt, shoot pool, sit around the fire pit and talk about old times.

Due to John’s wishes, there will not be a funeral service. He asked to be cremated and buried by his late father, John Myers.

The family would like to thank Melody (Moe) Pourfarhadi, Carla (Jeff) Finch, Greg (Judy) Graley, and Jeff (Charlene) Ray for the care and love they gave Johnny especially in his last days.

We want to thank Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek for taking great care to accommodate Johnny’s wishes.
