He is survived by the love of his life and wife of over 50 years, Gail (Chandler) Griffith of Alum Creek and their children and grandchildren; son, Michael (Kathy) Griffith and grandsons, Jack and Frederick Powers all of Scott Depot, WV; son, Darren (Jessica) Griffith and grandchildren, Madison and AJ Griffith of Sod; daughter, Lisa (Denzil) Dunlap and grandchildren, Austin Gillenwater at WVU, Michaela Gillenwater and Brad Lilly all of Charleston.  Also surviving is his daughter, Stephanie (Kevin) Dunlap and grandson, Kevin Lewis Dunlap of Alum Creek.   Butch is also survived by his brother, Frankie (Norma Jean) Griffith of McCorkle and leaves a host of nephews, nieces, cousins and friends who were some of his favorite people.

The family would like to offer a special thank you to Dr. Yousef for the care and friendship shown since 1994.  Butch will truly be missed by his family and friends.

The family requests that in lieu of flowers, donations be given in the memory of Butch Griffith to the Independent Missionary Baptist Church, Post Office Box 65, Alum Creek, West Virginia 25003.
