SHE WAS A MEMBER OF THE COUNCIL GAP CHURCH OF CHRIST, A RESIDENT OF THE HEARTLAND OF CHARLESTON FOR THREE YEARS AND A HOMEMAKER.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER: 3 DAUGHTERS: DOROTHY WRIGHT OF MALDEN, WV; JEAN PAULEY OF ALUM CREEK, WV; ANN THAXTON OF CLEVELAND, OH; 2 SONS: HAL WATTS OF HAMLIN, WV; CLINE WATTS OF NICEVILLE, FL; 17 GRANDCHILDREN 20 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON WEDNESDAY, AUGUST 6, 1997 AT 1:00 PM WITH MINISTER RICHARD RUNYAN OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN FORKS OF COAL MEMORIAL PARK, ALUM CREEK. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 1997 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.

SHE ATTENDED FORKS OF COAL MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH AND WAS A CHARTER MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK LIONESS CLUB.

SHE IS SURVIVED BY HER: 2 SISTERS: GRACE ADKINS OF ALUM CREEK, WV; KATHLEEN KEENEY OF ALUM CREEK, WV; A HOST OF NIECES, NEPHEWS & FRIENDS.

SERVICES WILL BE 11:00 AM ON TUESDAY, AUGUST 5, 1997 AT THE CURRY FUNERAL HOME CHAPEL IN ALUM CREEK WITH PASTOR JODY PISTORE AND PASTOR ROBERT “BUTCH” LEADMAN OFFICIATING. HE WAS A RETIRED EQUIPMENT OPERATOR FOR THE CITY OF ST. ALBANS PUBLIC WORKS WITH 25 YEARS SERVICE AND HE WAS AN ARMY VETERAN.

ALBANS, WV; 1 DAUGHTER: LESLIE COWSKY OF TN; 2 BROTHERS: PAUL SMITH OF TORNADO, WV; DONALD SMITH OF TORNADO, WV; 3 SISTERS: DELORES PETRY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; LENORA SHOEMAKER OF MO; BARBARA LESTER OF ID; 12 GRANDCHILDREN.
