ROBERT FORD RUNYAN, 84, OF SOD DIED WEDNESDAY, NOVEMBER 19, 1997 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SOUTH CHARLESTON, AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A RETIRED IRON WORKER FROM UNION CARBIDE WITH 34 YEARS OF SERVICE, A MEMBER OF THE ALUM CREEK CHURCH OF CHRIST AND A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: VIRGINIA; 4 SONS: RICHARD RUNYAN OF SOD, WV; KENNETH RUNYAN OF ALUM CREEK, WV; CHARLES RUNYAN OF SOD, WV; GARY RUNYAN OF MERRITT ISLAND, FL; 2 DAUGHTERS: PATSY KEENEY OF ALUM CREEK, WV; NANCY MATTHEWS OF SOD, WV; 1 BROTHER: JIM RUNYAN OF ALUM CREEK,’ WV; 2 SISTERS: MARIE LOWE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; MARTHA SMEE OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; 15 GRANDCHILDREN; 12 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT THE ALUM CREEK CHURCH OF CHRIST ON SATURDAY, NOVEMBER 22, 1997 AT 11:00 AM WITH MINISTER GERALD WATTS AND MINISTER KENNETH MITCHELL OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN LIVELY CEMETERY, SOD. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 21, 1997 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE CHURCH. CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, IS IN CARE OF ARRANGEMENTS.
