JOHN LEWIS GILLISPIE “JUNIOR”, 75, OF ALUM CREEK, DIED THURSDAY, APRIL 16, 1998 AT THE AMERICARE DUNBAR NURSING AND REHABILITATION CENTER AFTER A LONG ILLNESS. HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE BRIAR CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH, A RETIRED FORK LIFT OPERATOR FROM INDUSTRIAL WAREHOUSE AND A WWII ARMY VETERAN.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: MARGARET; 4 DAUGHTERS: CLAUDIA PARSONS OF ALUM CREEK, WV; CAROL JEAN BANKS OF CHARLESTON, WV; DIANA SPURLOCK OF CROSS LANES, WV;DARLENE PAYNE OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 SON: CURTIS GILLISPIE OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 STEP-SON: MICHAEL GIBBON OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 1 BROTHER: HAROLD GILLISPIE OF ALUM CREEK, WV; 14 GRANDCHILDREN 6 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN DIED THURSDAY, REHABILITATION A RETIRED FORK ARMY VETERAN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON SATURDAY, APRIL 18, 1998 AT 2:00 PM WITH REV. TOMMY ROBERTS OFFICIATING. ENTOMBMENT WILL BE HELD IN THE GRACELAND MEMORIAL PARK MAUSOLEUM, SOUTH CHARLESTON. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 17, 1998 FROM 6 TO 8:30 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
