DEWEY SMITH, 84, OF SUMERCO DIED THURSDAY, MARCH 19, 1998 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A MEMBER OF THE LABORERS’ INTERNATIONAL UNION OF NORTH AMERICA AND LOCAL LABORS X1353, A MEMBER OF THE SUMERCO CHURCH OF GOD, AND HE ASSISTED IN THE CARE OF MIDKIFF CEMETERY, SUMERCO FOR MANY YEARS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS: WIFE: GENEVA; 3 DAUGHTERS: CORRINE MOLLOHAN OF CHARLESTON, WV; MIDGE JUSTICE OF SOUTH CHARLESTON, WV; PHYLLIS COOPER OF GRIFFITHSVILLE, WV; 2 SONS: GARY SMITH OF POCA, WV; RONALD SMITH OF SUMERCO, WV; 22 GRANDCHILDREN 10 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN A HOST OF NEPHEWS AND NIECES.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON SATURDAY, MARCH 21, 1998 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR RICHARD MCCALLISTER, PASTOR RICKY COOPER, AND REV. BUTCH LOFTIS OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN MIDKIFF CEMETERY, SUMERCO. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON FRIDAY, MARCH 20, 1998 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
