Esther Virginia Snodgrass, 85, of South Chazleston died Saturday, April 17, 1999 at Sunrise Nursing Home, Teays Valley, after a long illness.

She was a retired employee for the Kanawha County Board of Education and a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene.

She is survived by her: 1 Son: Leslie R. Snodgrass of Prattville, AL; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at 2:30 PM with Dr. Mervin Smith officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Monday, Apri119, 1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.

He was a retired salesman, an Army veteran who served in WWII and he was a protestant.

He is survived by his: Wife: Mary; 1 Daughter: Linda Sue Wood of Hernshaw, WV; 2 Sisters: Nannie Opal Hannah ofMethany, WV; Jo Ann Midkiff of Yawkey, WV; 2 Brothers: Russell Meadows of Weirton, WV; Ellis Meadows of McConnelsville, OH; 2 Grandchildren: Stephanie & Chris.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Tuesday, April 20, 1999 at 1:00 PM with Rev. Rick McCracken and Rev. Dallas E. Waggle officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call on Monday, April 19, 1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Walter Ray Bullis, 77, of Zionville, North Carolina died Saturday, April 10, 1999 at home.

He was a native of Kamiah, Idaho and had made his home in Zionville, North Carolina for the past several years. He was a veteran having served in the Airforce and he was retired from General Motors.

He is survived by his: Wife: Barbara Bell Bullis; 2 Sons: Maylon Bullis of Portland, OR; Michael McDaniel of Caro, MI; 1 Daughter: Mollie Giendening of Kalispell, MT; 1 Sister: Ella Moss of Wapato, WA; 15 Grandchildren; 13 Great Grandchildren; 7 Great Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Graveside services will be held at the Bell Family Cemetery, Yawkey, on Wednesday, April 14, 1999 at 3:00 PM with Pastor Carl Lester Bell officiating. Friends may call on Wednesday, April 14, 1999 from 1:00 to 2:00 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.

William Ross Hartwell

William Ross Hartwell, 86, of St. Albans died Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at the Riverside Nursing Home, St. Albans after a long illness.

He was a retired pipefitter from Union Carbide, Institute, with 37 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the AFAM 71 Grilfithsville lodge, Beni-Kedem Temple, Scottish Rite Bodies, Hillbillies Ridge Runners and the Protestant church.

Graveside services will be held at the Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek on Friday, April 9, 1999 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, April 8, 1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.
