Margaret M. “Margie”Fisher, daughter of the late Henry A. and Frances Verna Fisher, died June 16, 2005 at the age of 86.

Margie was born on January 3, 1919 in Charleston, West Virginia. Margie was preceded in death by her beloved brother and caretaker, Henry S. Fisher, Sr., and a sister, Earnestine Lewis.
Margie and her dad had made their home with her brother, Henry and his wife Mildred. She continued to live with her brother after her Dad’s death for 40 years. When her brother, Henry died in 1973 she then went to live with her nephew, Henry Steve Fisher, Jr., and his wife, Mary. She lived with Steve even after Mary’s death in 1989. After many years of living with Steve he found himself unable to care for her needs and she then came to live with her niece, Donna and husband, Edward Moore of Charleston. Throughout Margaret’s life she had lived with her nephew, Steve and nieces, Esther Hudson and Donna Moore.

Margaret belonged to the Ivydale Baptist Church in Charleston where she would attend when she was able. Because of her disabilities and the need for more care, Margaret went to live at Heartland Nursing Home. She had some very special people taking care of her. She also had a “best friend” whom she roomed with named “Annie”. She meant a lot to Margie. Because of her disabilities after she was born, they said she wouldn’t live long, but in Margie’s words, “I fool you”.

Margaret is survived by sister-in-law, Mildred Fisher of Circleville, OH; nephew, Henry Steve Fisher, Jr., of Melbourne, FL; nieces, Esther Hudson of Circleville, OH and Donna Moore of Charleston; two great nieces and five great nephews and several great-great nieces and nephews and a host of friends.

We are going to miss you Margie, but we will see you one day and you will have a brand new body.

Graveside service and burial will be held at 3:00 PM Saturday, June 18, 2005 at Spring Hill Cemetery, Chazleston with Pastor Clarence Hutton officiating. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek is in chazge of arrangements.
