Lura was my mother’s first cousin. My wife and I visited her when we came to WVa. She was always very nice to us and my wife likes ancestry so she answered several questions for us. We were sorry to hear about this but if Dorothy or family want to contact us it is :Leslie Snodgrass (mom was Esther) 334.365.1954. Mom & Lura worked together at school.
The West Virginia and Kanawha County Associations of Retired School Employees extend their sincere sympathy to you, the family, in your sorrow. Blessings to all.
I was so sorry to hear of Laurie’s passing. Although I did not see her often, I always thought the world of her. She always had a smile for everyone and was so very thoughtful. I wasn’t around the family much as I grew older, but I always admired all of Uncle Harry’s daughters for the love and care you gave each member of your family. Not many people will give of themselves to the extent you all did in caring for each other when ill. My thoughts and prayers are with all of the extended family. Sincerely, Cheryl Brua Posey
