James (Jimmy) Cantley, 58, went home to be with our Lord Saturday, September 5, 2009 at Hubbard Hospice House following a short illness. He was born on March 10, 1951 to the late Archie and Lois Cantley of Brounland, WV. He was also preceded in death not only by his mother and father; but his sister, Ellen and brothers, Jerry and Bob.
Surviving are his sisters: Rosalie (Steve) Lipscomb of Elkview, WV; Kathy (Jack) Herr of Florida; Shirley Ker of Utah; Brothers: Arnold (Evia) Cantley of Alum Creek, WV, Pat (Lee) Cantley of Albama; Brother-in-law: Daniel Pauley of South Charleston and several nieces and nephews whom he loved dearly.
A Memorial Service will be held 7:00 PM Tuesday, September 8, 2009 at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. The body will be cremated and burial will be at a later date in Brounland Cemetery. Friends may call 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers the family suggests donations be made to Hubbard Hospice House, 1001 Kennwa Drive, Charleston, WV 25311.
