Kerlene A. Means, 73, of Chesapeake died Tuesday, July 8, 2003 at home after a long illness.

She is survived by: Husband: Bob; Daughter: Kay Samms of Buffalo; 2 sons: Corky Barley of Marmet; Ronnie Barley of Williamston, SC;  2 Sisters: Genevieve White of Uneeda; Nellijean Thompson of Clearwater, FL; 3 Brothers: Carven Dale Walker of Maryland Orsel Kenny Walker of Madison Carlyle Doodle Walker of Oak Hill;
9 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren.

Service will be 2:00 pm Friday, July 11, 2003 at Curry Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Steve Burns officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Friends may call Thursday from 7 to 9 pm at the funeral home.

Fayelda B. Griffith

Fayelda B. Griffith, 79, of South Charleston, died Sunday, July 6, 2003 at home after a long illness.

She was a retired school teacher for Kanawha County Schools and she also worked as a counselor for West Virginia Rehab.

She is survived by her: Husband: William A Griffith, Sr.; Son: William A. Griffith, II of Charleston; Daughter: Jan Griffith of South Charleston; Sister: Carolyn Moss of South Charleston; 3 Grandchildren; 8 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Thursday, July 10, 2003 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Michael Tucker officiating. Burial will be held in Brua Family Cemetery, South Chazleston. Friends may call on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Beulah Midkiff

Mrs. Beulah Midkiff, 90, of South Chazleston, went home to be with the Lord on Saturday, July 5, 2003 after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Romey Midkiff.

Beulah was a retired employee of Union Carbide with 20 years of service. She was a member of Bethe] Baptist Church and attended Dunbar Mountain Mission Church.

She is survived by her daughter, Janet C. Barnette of South Charleston; sons, Max L. Midkiff of Ft. Lauderdale, Florida and Donald W. Midkiff of Cross Lanes; six grandchildren and two great grandchildren, one sister, Marie Ferrell of South Charleston.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, July 9, 2003 at 10:00 AM with Pastor Lawrence Hoptry officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Pazk, South Charleston. Friends and family may call on Tuesday, July 8, 2003 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.
