Leonard E. Gillespie, 45 of Ashford, died Monday, February 5, 2001 at CAMC Memorial Emergency Room after a long illness.

He was a disabled coal miner and he attended the Mahone Chapel at Rumble.

He is survived by his: Special Companion: Laura Wilson of Ashford; Mother: Evelyn Price Gillespie of Emmons, WV; 1 Brother: Virgil Gillespie of Emmons, WV.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Thursday, February 8, 2001 at 11:00 AM with Rev. F. A. Giles officiating. Burial will be held in Gillespie Cemetery, Emmons. Friends may call on Wednesday, February 7, 2001 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Mary Ellen Williams Johnson, 39 of Alum Creek, died Monday, February 5, 2001 at home after a short illness.

She was a homemaker and a caregiver for the elderly.

She is survived by her: Husband: John Johnson; 2 Daughters: Charity Williams of Griffithsville, WV; Destinie Williams of Alum Creek, WV; 1 Son: Gary Cobb of Griffithsville, WV; 1 Sister: Hattie Rock of Alum Creek, WV.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Thursday, February 8, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held in Cobb Family Cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

Juliana M. Ma, 46 of Charleston, died Saturday, February 3, 2001 at home after a long illness.

She was a homemaker. She is survived by her: Husband: Frank M. Ma; 2 Daughters: Bernice K. Ma at home; Jessica K. Ma at home; Parents: Wah Chiu Lui and Sui Chun Lui of Vancouver, Canada; 2 Sisters: Maureen Lui of Vancouver, Canada; Maria Lam of Sacramento, CA; 4 Brothers: Franklin Lui of Hong Kong; Henry Lui of Toronto, Canada; Charles Lui of Toronto, Canada; John Lui of Vancouver, Canada; Several In-laws, Nieces and Nephews.

A memorial service will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Friday, February 9, 2001 at 11:00 AM.. Friends may call on Thursday, February 8, 2001 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers, the family suggests donations be made to Kanawha Hospice Care, Inc., 1143 Dunbar Avenue, Dunbar, West Virginia 25064.

She was a homemaker and a member of Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church.

She is survived by her: 1 Son: Ronald Kidd of Cross Lanes, WV; 1 Daughter: Doris N. Roberts of Alum Creek, WV; 1 Sister: Violet Dale of NC; 5 Grandchildren, 15 Great-Grandchildren, 3 Great-Great-Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, February 4, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Clarence Hutton officiating. Burial will be held in Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek. Friends may call on Saturday, February 3, 2001 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
