Arthur “Archie” McCormick, 74 of Sumerco, died Wednesday, August 2, 2000 at Cabell-Huntington Hospital after an apparent heart attack.
He was retired from F.M.C., South Charleston, with 31 years of service, was a member of the Sumerco Church of God, and was a life long resident of Lincoln county.
He is survived by his: Wife: Verda Tackett McCormick; 5 Sons: Arthur W. McCormick of Sumerco, WV; Alan Keith McCormick of Sumerco, WV; Mark McCormick of Sumerco, WV; Eric McCormick of Dunbar, WV; Ray McCormick of Orlando, FL; 3 Daughters: Carletha Roberts of Alkol, WV; Mona Cobb of Alum Creek, WV; Kathy Green of Sumerco, WV; 5 Sisters: Sylvia Watts of Sod, WV; Goldie Vanzan of Deland, FL; Galada Edwards of Middleton, MD; Geneva Woodall of Glena, MD; Judy Ann Vickers of St. Albans, WV; 13 Grandchildren; 6 Great Grandchildre.
Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Saturday, August 5, 2000 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Richard McCallister officiating. Burial will be held in Midkiff Cemetery, Sumerco. Friends may call on Friday, August 4, 2000 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home
