RONALD E. HUNT, 49 OF BROUNLAND, DIED MONDAY, OCTOBER 25, 1993 AT HOME AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A RETIRED MASTER SERGEANT WITH THE WV ARMY NATIONAL GUARD, 111TH ENGINEERING GROUP, ST. ALBANS, WITH 20 YEARS SERVICE. HE WAS A MEMBER OF BRIAR CREEK BAPTIST CHURCH, BROUNLAND. HE WAS A FORMER TRUCK DRIVER FOR MOUNTAINEER BOLT INC. IN WELLSBURG, WV. HE WAS A FORMER COAL MINER AND A MEMBER OF THE UMWA LOCAL 633, VAN, WV. HE WAS A FOUNDER OF BOONE CO. FOOD ASSOCIATION PROGRAM. HE WAS A CHAIRMAN OF CANCER MOUNT SUPPORT GROUPS, AMERICAN CANCER SOCIETY, CHARLESTON UNIT.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, CONNIE; 2 SONS: BRENT HUNT OF ALUM CREEK, WV; TIM HUNT OF ALUM CREEK, WV; FATHER: ARNOLD HUNT OF BELLE, WV; MOTHER: GOLDIE FOSTER OF BELLE, WV; 2 BROTHERS: HARVEY HUNT OF CHARLESTON, WV; ROGER HUNT OF CHARLESTON, WV; 2 SISTERS: PAULA SIZEMORE OF HUGHESTON, WV; MARGARET PETERS OF MAMMOTH, WV; 1 GRANDDAUGHTER: LAUREN MICHELLE HUNT.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 28, 1993 AT 1:00 PM WITH REV. KEITH TORMAN AND REV. WILLIAM KNICELY OFFICIATING. MIKE BROWNING WILL GIVE AN EULOGY. BURIAL WILL BE HELD WITH MILITARY GRAVESIDE RITES IN KANAWHA VALLEY MEMORY GARDENS, GLASGOW. FRIENDS MAY CALL WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 27, 1993 FROM 7 TO 9 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME.
