Rose H. Tedder, 71, of Charleston died Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, So. Charleston, after a long illness.

She was retired from the Coonskin Dairy Bar Charleston, after 31 years of service. She attended Oakridge Bible Church.

She is survived by her: 2 Daughters: Diana McCormick of Charleston, WV; Debby Hicks of So. Charleston, W V; 3 Sisters: Edith Skiff of Pueblo, CO; Frances Hanson of Spring Hill, FL; Betty Reynolds of Victoria, TX; 2 Grand daughters; 2 Grandsons.

Memorial service will be held at a later date. There will be no visitation. Family suggests donations be made to the American Heart Association. Curry Funeral Home Alum Creek is in charge of arrangements.

Wanda Jeannie Neal, 54, of Sod died Monday, May 22, 2000 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, So. Charleston, after a long illness.

She was retired from the Lincoln County Board of Education were she had been a secretary at Duval High School and McCorkle Elementary School. She was also a member of the Elizabeth Missionary Baptist Church at Garretts Bend, a active member of the Lincoln County Republican Committee and a lifelong resident of Lincoln County.

She is survivied by her: 2 Daughters: Lora Sands of Charleston, WV; Cazla Bradbury of St. Albans, WV; 1 Son: Kent Neal of Sod, WV; 3 Sisters: Wanda Davis and Sue Mynes of Sod, WV; Mary Shoebridge of Melvindale, MI2 Brothers: Billy Joe Smith ofGriffithsville, WV; Rev. Robert Paul of Alabama 1 Grandson: Trevor Sands of Charleston, WV.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, May 24, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Dwight McClure officiating. Burial will be in the Watts Cemetery, Sod. Friends may call on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 from 7 to 9 at the funeral home.

Woodrow W. “Woody” Stewart, 83, of So. Charleston died Saturday, May 20, 2000 in Thomas Memorial Hospital, So. Charleston, after a short illness.

He was a retired mine foreman for Southern Appalachian Coal Co, a member of the UMWA, a member of the Mountain Heights Church in So. Charleston, a Army veteran of W WII, was a member of the Alum Creek VFW Post 4768 and a lifelong resident of Kanawha County.

He is survived by his: Wife: Faye Stewart of South Charleston, WV 1 Daughter: Beverly Samples of So. Charleston, WV; 2 Sons Jerry and Jimmy Stewart both of So. Charleston, WV; 5 Sisters: Jewel Asbury and Patsy Midkiffboth of So. Charleston, WV; Mary Hager of Fairplain, WV; Eunice Grimsley of Higbee, MO; Alice Zahn of Albany, OR; 5 Grandchildren

Services will be held at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Tuesday, May 23, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Benny Pauley officiating. Burial will be held in Graceland Memorial Park, So. Charleston were military graveside rites will be conducted by the Alum Creek VFW Post 4768. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM on Monday May 22, 2000 at the funeral home.

Vesta G. Lawson, 100, of Yawkey, WV died Thursday, May 18, 2000 at Valley Health Village, South Charleston, WV after a long illness.

She was a lifetime member of Porter Fork Baptist Church. She was a homemaker and a resident of Lincoln County for 94 years. She was preceded in death by her husband Emro Lawson and son Glenn Lawson.

She is survived by: 2 Sons: Carl Lawson of Charleston, WV Cecil Lawson of Grand Rapids, MI; 1 Daughter: Mildred Lavender of Chesapeake, WV; 2 Sisters: Lena Harlan of TN Emma Stephens of Illinois; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 Great Great Grandchildren.

He was a painting contractor and a protestant.

Dorothy Gardner Taylor, 77 of South Charleston, died Sunday, May 7, 2000 at Valley Health Village, South Charleston, after a long illness.

She was preceded in death by her daughter, Peggy Sloan. She was a homemaker and was a Baptist.

She was a former employee of the Kanawha County Board of Education, a member of the Hopewell Baptist Church, Alum Creek, had served as a Sunday School teacher at the Center Point Christian Church in Doddridge County and was a member of the Ladies Auxiliary of the VFW Post 4768, Alum Creek where she served as Conductress and was chair person of the National Home for Children.
