Margaret E. Pauley Goddard, 91, of Fort Pierce, Florida departed this life to be with Jesus Tuesday, May 4, 2004 at the home of her daughter, Phyllis Weaver.
Born May 10, 1912, she daughter of the late Emmet and Molly Robinson of Ronceverte, West Virginia. She was also preceded in death by her husband, Clarence Elbert Pauley; her second husband, James Goddard; son, Clarence E. Pauley; daughter, Mary Stewart Hams and granddaughter, Jean Ann Radamarker.
She was a member of the Davis Creek Church of the Nazarene and Fort Pierce Church of the Nazarene in Florida. She had worked as a seamstress at Frankenburgers in Charleston, West Virginia.
She is survived by her children and their spouses, Phyllis and Bob Weaver of Alum Creek; James and Carol Pauley of South Charleston; Donald and Trish Pauley of Charleston; Gary and Dorthy Pauley of St. Petersburg, FL; Grete’ Pauley of Fort Pierce, FL; step-children, James and Lou Goddard of Nellis; Jack and Jerri Goddard and Jay and Clara Goddard all of Pennsylvania; 20 grandchildren, 40 great-grandchildren, 14 great great-grandchildren, eight step-grandchildren, 20 step great-grandchildren, six step great-great-grandchildren and many friends.
Serviced will be held 11:00 am Friday, May 7, 2004 at the Davis Creek Nazarene Church with Rev. Charles Morton and Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be in Graceland Memorial Park at South Charleston. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM on Thursday, May 6, 2004 at the Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek and 1 hour prior to the service at the church. In lieu of flowers the family suggest donations to Kanawha Hospice at 1143 Dunbar Ave., Dunbar, W V 25064.
