Geneva A. Smith, 82, of Cross Lanes, formerly of Sumerco, went home to be with the Lord and to be reunited with her husband, Dewey on September 13, 2005.
She was also preceded in death by her parents, Orville and Clara Wright; brothers, Frank, Thurman, Jack and Ronda Wright; sisters, Gladys Gladwell and Effie Wright.
Left behind to cherish her memories are her children and their spouses, Corrine Mollohan of Charleston, Gary and Wilma Smith of Sumerco, Midge and Norm Justice of Cross Lanes, Ronald and Rita Smith of Sumerco, Phyllis and Bruce Cooper of Griffithsville; sister, Gerrie Goff of Dunbar; brother, Howard Wright of Jacksonville, Florida; 33 grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Services will be held 11:00 AM on Friday, September 16, 2005 at Sumerco Church of God with Pastor Richard McCallister and Pastor Butch Loftis officiating. She will be laid to rest on her beloved husband’s birthday at Midkiff Cemetery, Sumerco. Friends may call from 7 to 9 PM Thursday at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.
