Edward Johnson “Brother” Wheeler, 75, of Sumerco, died Sunday, April 16, 2006 surrounded by family and friends at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston, after a long illness.

He was a retired auto body repairman from Danny Harmon Body Shop in St. Albans and a long time member and deacon of Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church. He served in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict.

He is survived by:

Wife: Carol

5 children & spouses: Barry and Annette Wheeler of Sumerco
Gabrielle “Gabby” and Ricky Kirk of Ashford
Paul and Anne Wheeler of Davis Creek
Chris Wheeler and Dawn of South Charleston
Greg and Angela Wheeler of Dalton, Georgia

12 grandchildren.

The family would like to express their appreciation to Pine Grove Missionary Baptist Church for their assistance and support. They would like to give a special thanks to Dillon Lacy, Bob and Cathy Adkins and Rita Lovejoy for their care and concern.

Services will be 2:00 PM, Wednesday, April 19, 2006 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, with Pastor Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will be held in Pine Grove Cemetery. Friends may call Tuesday from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
