Reba Isadora Bentley, 76 of Lincoln and Kanawha counties went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, August 23, 2001 in Ruby Memorial Hospital, Morgantown after a short illness.

Born October 10, 1924. She was the daughter of Richard and Amber Smith Hughes. She was preceded in death by nine brothers and sisters. She was a member of the Baptist church, a homemaker and was a former employee of Staats Hospital.

She is survived by her: Husband: Willie Bentley; Sister: Elsie M. Legg of Charleston; Nieces, nephews and a host of friends.

Services will be held at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek on Tuesday, August 28, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Roe Smith &Rev. Kenneth Dunlap officiating. Burial will be in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey.
Friends may call from 7 to 9 on Monday, August 27, 2001 at the funeral home.

James William Holly 74, of Joshua Tree, California, formerly of Lincoln County died Tuesday Aug 14, 2001 at Hi Desert Medical Center in Joshua Tree after a short Illness.

He is survived by his: 4 Sisters: Connie Tackett of Mann, Betty Daugagrty of SC; Ethel Price of Woodville, Velva Salisbury of Columbus, OH; 2 Brothers: Clarence Holly of Columbus, OH Buddy Holly of NC.

Graveside services will be 2:00 pm on Tuesday, Aug 21, 2001 at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens in Yawkey, WV. Curry Funeral Home at Alum Creek is in charge of arrangements.

Royal Vyrlin Ingram

Royal Vyrlin Ingram, 89 of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord, Friday, August 10, 2001 at home following a long illness.

He was a retired foreman for Dupont and a member of Randolph Street Baptist Church, Charleston.

He is survived by his: Wife: Avis; 2 Daughters: Yvonne Hill of Alum Creek; Virginia Rush of Charleston; 1 Brother: Harold Bennett of Griffin, GA; 1 Sister: Jackie Burdette of Riverdale, GA; 5 Grandchildren: Lisa Rush, Kelly Rush, Johnna Hill, Brad Hill, & Danny Hill.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Saturday, August 18, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Keith Bailey officiating. Entombment will be held in Cunningham Memorial Park, St. Albans. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home. In lieu of flowers make donations to the Gideons International or the Union Mission Ministries of Charleston.

Pansy “Gae” Allen, 84 of Cocoa, Florida, formerly of Alum Creek, West Virginia died Wednesday, August 8, 2001 at home after a long illness.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Central Church of Christ in Florida and a former member of the Alum Creek Church of Christ.

She is survived by her: 1 Son: Marlin “Mike” Allen of Alum Creek, WV; 2 Daughters: Judy Burnett and Karen Hasibar both of Cocoa, FL; 2 Sisters: Charmie Lewis and Sophie Smith both of Alum Creek, WV; 5 Grandchildren; 5 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, August 12, 2001 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Walter Allen officiating. Burial will be in Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek. Friends may call Saturday from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

James C. Smith, Jr. 31 of Sod, died Saturday, August 4, 2001 at Tornado, due to injuries from a farm tractor accident.

He was an employee for the city of St. Albans.

He is survived by his Wife: Kathy; 2 Sons: Jesse Smith at home; Michael Richie of Fredericksburg, VA; 2 Daughters: Danielle Smith and Jamie Smith at home; Step-Daughter: Andrea Posey at home; Mother: Susan Jane Clark of Bronson, FL; Grandmother: Ruth Black of St. Albans; 2 Brothers: Robert Smith of Sod; John Smith of Tornado; Sister:Leslie Cowsky of Chattanooga, TN.

Norma Mae Harmon Worstell Bowen, 71 of South Charleston, went to heaven Friday, August 3, 2001. We all will miss her so and know that she is looking down upon us with all her love.

She was a homemaker and a life long resident of Kanawha county.

She is survived by her; 7 Daughters: Ann Hanshaw, Wendy Bowen, Marcie Lyons, Karrie Lovejoy and Lissa Eastwood all of South Charleston; Donna Worstell and Twylla Bays both of Tornado; 1 Son: Scott Worstell of South Charleston; 2 Brothers: Donald Harmon of Lewisburg; Billy Harmon of Loudendale; 3 Sisters: Phyllis Chandler of Toledo, OH; Shirley Turley of Lewisburg; Linda Sue Ferrell of Charleston; 26 Grandchildren; 17 Great Grandchildren.
