William Ross Hartwell, 86, of St. Albans died Tuesday, April 6, 1999 at the Riverside Nursing Home, St. Albans after a long illness.

He was a retired pipefitter from Union Carbide, Institute, with 37 years of service. He was a 50 year member of the AFAM 71 Grilfithsville lodge, Beni-Kedem Temple, Scottish Rite Bodies, Hillbillies Ridge Runners and the Protestant church.

He is survived by his: 3 Daughters: Vona Gail Adkins of Charleston, WV; Ella Jane Hartwell of AZ; Paula Sue Hartwell of AZ; 1 Son: Franklin R. Hartwell of Virginia Beach, VA; 3 Sisters: Nannie McClure of Scott Depot, WV; Phyllis Nunn of Sod, WV; Mary Purdy of Charleston, WV; 4 Grandchildren; 7 Great Grandchildren.

Graveside services will be held at the Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek on Friday, April 9, 1999 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Friends may call on Thursday, April 8, 1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek.

Elizabeth A. Cash, formerly of Alum Creek, who currently made her home with her grandson, Edward Cash of Scott Depot, died Sunday, April 4, 1999 at Putnam General Hospital in Hurricane, after a long illness.

She was a homemaker and a retired cook from Humphreys Dairy Bar.

She is survived by her: 4 Sons: Charles E. Cash of Scott Depot, WV; John Cash of Alum Creek, WV; Homer Cash of Alum Creek, W V; James Franklin Cash of Alum Creek, WV; 4 Brothers: Earnie Hissom of Sissonville, WV; Albert Hissom of St. Albans, WV; George Hissom of Pinch, WV; Earl Hissom of Rainelle, WV; 1 Sister: Roxie Hamer of Charleston, WV; 10 Grandchildren 18 Great Grandchildren.

She was born in Yawkey, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, a 49 year member of Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a caregiver for the elderly in her home and was a foster parent.

Services will be held at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Clarence Hutton and Pastor Arnold B. Cook officiating. Burial will be held in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
