STANLEY PAUL LAWRENCE, SR., 76 OF HURRICANE, FORMERLY OF RUTH, DIED THURSDAY, APRIL 20, 1995 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SO. CHARLESTON, AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.
HE WAS A RETIRED INSTRUMENT MECHANIC FOR FMC AT SO. CHARLESTON WITH 31 YEARS SERVICE. HE THEN HAD 10 YEARS SERVICE WITH BORDEN CHEMICAL COMPANY IN BRADENTON, FLORIDA. HE WAS A MEMBER OF ABNEY STREET CHURCH OF GOD IN ST. ALBANS.
HE IS SURVIVED BY HIS WIFE, ARLENE; 5 SONS: JACK LAWRENCE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; DAVID LAWRENCE OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; DAN LAWRENCE OF TAMPA, FL; STANLEY LAWRENCE, JR. OF NITRO, WV; TIMOTHY LAWRENCE OF BRANDEN, FL; 4 DAUGHTERS: JANE PAULEY OF NITRO, WV; VICTORIA THAXTON OF PT. PLEASANT, WV; ROSE MARY LAWRENCE OF BRANDEN, FL; CANDY THOMASON OF BRADENTON, FL; 4 SISTERS: NORMA BALLARD OF KANAWHA CITY, WV; WANDA CREECH OF BROUNLAND, WV; LORENE FRYE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; ELIZABETH BARRENTINE OF JACKSON, MS; 29 GRANDCHILDREN AND 31 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.
SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON SATURDAY, APRIL 22, 1995 AT 1:00 PM WITH HIS SON REV. JACK LAWRENCE OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN CUNNINGHAM MEMORIAL PARK, ST. ALBANS. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON FRIDAY, APRIL 21, 1995 FROM 6:00 TO 8:30 PM AT THE FUNERAL HOME AND 1 HOUR PRIOR TO THE SERVICE ON SATURDAY.
