Danny L. Turley, 66 of Charleston, went to rest Thursday, March 9, 2006, after a long hard battle with diabetes.
He was a 1957 graduate of Duval High School, Griffithsville, a former employee of Newport News Ship Building and Dry Dock in Virginia and was a longtime loyal employee for the city of Charleston and the West Virginia Department of Highways. He was a member of the Charleston Masonic Lodge #153 AF & AM, the Scottish Rite Bodies and the Beni Kedem Shrine Temple.
Danny loved trout fishing, hunting and woodworking.
He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Fred and Ada (Granny) Turley, Stone and May Nunn, and his father, Clarence Jackson Turley.
He is survived by his mother, Nina Turley of Alum Creek; son and daughter-in-law, Rick and Deborah Turley of Pinch; sister, Margaret Perkins and husband Dean of Scott Depot; brother, David J. Turley of Woodland Park, CO; three grandchildren, Richard and Daniel Turley and CJ Trent; and many other family and friends.
Services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor David Cyphers officiating. Burial with Masonic graveside rites conducted by Charleston Masonic Lodge #153 will be at Forks of Coal Cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek.

We would also like to thank Central WV Aging Services, Panhandle Support Services, CAMC General Emergency department, St. Francis Hospital and the Charleston paramedics.
