Kelley Nicole Triplett, 36 of Griffithsville, was born April 14, 1980 in Huntington and went home to be with Jesus on Tuesday, May 17, 2016 following a short illness.
She was the daughter of Catherine Triplett of Griffithsville and Ron Triplett of Elkview. Kelley was an angel on earth. Despite her numerous physical challenges, she always had a smile on her face and a sweetness in her spirit.
Kelley was a graduate of Hamlin High School and attended Prestera Center in Madison.
She was predeceased by her infant brother, Christopher; her maternal grandfather, Homer Torman; and her paternal grandparents Oscar and Olive Triplett.
In addition to her parents, she is survived by her brother, Tim Triplett (Stacy) and their children, Aaron, Peyton and Eibhlin; maternal grandmother, Frances Chafin; and several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 20, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastors Frank Chapman and Scott Bandy officiating. Burial will follow at Sansom Cemetery, Garretts Bend. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Martha Lee Baire Morgan, 73, of Alum Creek went home to be with the Lord Monday, May 16, 2016 at CAMC General Hospital, Charleston.
She was a Christian, who loved and cared for her family with all her heart.
Martha was predeceased by her grandson, Jonathan; parents, Haden and Mary Baire; brothers, Adam, Willie and David Baire and sister, Greathel “Goat” Lovejoy.
She is survived by her daughter, Sandra Burgess and Paul; daughter, Latasha, son, Danny Morgan; grandchildren, Crystal, Steven , Christian and Peyton, Evan and Lincoln; great grandchildren, Alexis and Jonathan; siblings, Basil Baire, Junie (Buddy) Kirk, Linzie (Janet) Baire, Bawfurd and Bob Baire, William (Donna) Baire, Joyce (Danny) Pauley, Hazel (Terry) Rabel and Mary (Barney) Johnson; and several nieces, nephews and other family.
Service will be held at 2:00 p.m. Thursday, May 19, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Michael Graley officiating. Burial will follow at Brounland Cemetery. The family will receive friends 1 hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
Betty Frances Lore, 83, of Charleston, went home to be with the Lord Sunday, May 15, 2016, in Bellaire at Devonshire, Scott Depot, after a long battle with Alzheimer’s disease.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond, parents, Ernest & Opal Hudson and brother, Arnold Hudson.
She was a lifelong resident of the Kanawha Valley and grew up attending Ivy Dale Baptist Church with her family.
She is survived by her daughters, Deborah (Paul) Adkins, Charleston, Connie Zimmerman, Elkview, and Brenda (Rick) Thompson, Orlando, FL; son, Raymond “Les” Lore, Jr., South Point, OH; brothers, Frank, Jim, and Ernie Hudson; sisters, Marsha Rife, Anna Morrison, Nancy Clark, and Joyce Pauley and two grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Service will be 1:00pm Saturday, May 21st at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Tyler Long officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston. Family and friends will gather one hour prior to the service.

Harry Lee “Joe Bob” Parsons, 82, of Charleston, passed away Sunday, May 15, 2016 with his family by his side. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and great-grandfather.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Shirley “Sis”, grandson-in-law Matthew Daniel, parents, Edwin & Macel Parsons, brothers, Glen, Gene, and John Daniel, sisters, Ruth, Phyllis “Fib”, and Lurleen.
Joe Bob was an U.S. Army Veteran who served in Korea. He was a founding member and former chief of the Davis Creek Volunteer Fire Department. He was a retired optical lab technician and also enjoyed delivering pizza for Domino’s for many years.
He is survived by daughter, Sarita Jo (Ed) Bennett; son, Bob Parsons (Robin Aeby Manriquez), brother, Ralph (Eva) Parsons; sister, Maxine Ocheltree and sister-in-law Charlotte Parsons, granddaughters, Beth (Bryan) Hoylman and Sarah (Steve) Runyon; and great grandsons, Billy Grass, Layne Daniel and Joe Manriquez, and many very special nieces and nephews.
Service will be 1:00pm Wednesday, May 18, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home Chapel, Alum Creek, with Rev. Roger Vannoy and Rev. Frank Goff officiating. Burial will be Graceland Memorial Park, South Charleston, with military graveside rites conducted by the Alum Creek VFW. Visitation will be 6:00 to 8:00pm Tuesday, May 17th at the funeral home.
Wanda Fay Pauley, 84, went to be with the Lord Thursday, May 12, 2016 at home.
She was a homemaker who devoted her life to taking care of her husband, children and serving God. Fay was a member of McCorkle Freewill Baptist Church.
She is survived by her husband of 65 years, Ray; daughters, Dora Vickers, Brenda (Kim) Matthews, Gail (Buck) McCallister and Gerri (Steve) Triplett; 7 grandchildren, 14 great grandchildren and 2 great great grandchildren.
A private graveside service was 11:00 a.m. Sunday, May 15, 2016 at Lively Cemetery, Sod, with Minister Kim Matthews officiating.

Rose Mary Johnston, 72, of Sumerco,WV, was born September 2, 1943, and went to be with the Lord on Tuesday, May 10, 2016. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, great grandmother, sister and friend.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Allen and Kathleen Holstein; sister, Becky Mae; brothers, Straughter and Willis Holstein; son-in-law, Ray Huffman; and grandson, Ray “Ray-Ray” Huffman.
Rose Mary leaves behind her husband of 30 years, Dannie B. Johnston; children and stepchildren, Cynthia Huffman, Kathy Daniels, Judy (David) Shewbert, Rebecca Boggs, Patrick (Britt) Woodrum, Drema (Frank) Taylor, Vicky Chapman, Michael Johnston and Anita (Randy) Anderson; sister, Brookie McConald; brothers, John and Dillard Holstein; 21 grandchildren and 19 great grandchildren.
A joint graveside service for Danny and Rose Mary will be held at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, April 28, 2019 at Johnson Family Cemetery, Alkol, WV.
Jesse Lee Vandale, 89, of South Charleston went home Tuesday, May 10, 2016 at Hubbard Hospice West at Thomas in South Charleston.
He was an Army veteran of WWII. He retired from the U. S. Postal Service and attended Hilltop Baptist Church, South Charleston.
Jesse was survived by his wife, Genevieve; sons, James L. (Carol), William L. (Kathy), Steven W. (Shelly) and David E. (Leslie); eight grandchildren and 3 great grandchildren.
Service will be 12:00 p.m. Friday, May 13, 2016 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor Jim Lennox officiating. Burial will follow at the Donel C. Kinnard Memorial State Veterans Cemetery in Dunbar. The family will receive friends one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.

William “Bill” Payne, 66, of Ridgeview, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday, May, 1, 2016 at CAMC – Memorial Hospital.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Carson & Earnie Payne.
He served as Pastor of Dartmont Freewill Baptist Church and retired from NGK in Sissonville.
He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Rosemary, son, Jeff Payne (Crystal), daughter, Deanna (Roy) King, brother, Roger Payne, grandchildren, Marshall, Trinity and Hunter, step-grandchildren, Josh, Jason and Alyssa, brother-in-law, Bubby (Rhonda) Stone, sister-in-law, Drema (Chuck) Myers.
Service will be 4:00pm Wednesday, May 4, 2016, at Dartmont Freewill Baptist Church, with Pastors Charles Hardy and Michael Gibson officiating. Burial will follow at Barker Cemetery, Ashford. Visitation will be two hours prior to the service.
John Tristan Schmidt
Tristan died Friday, April 29, 2016 as the result of a motorcycle-vehicle accident Thursday, April 28, 2016 on Route 21 near Given, WV.
Tristan was an accomplished motocross enthusiast winning many local and regional competitions and had qualified for a national championship race at the Amateur National Motocross Championship at Loretta Lynn’s in Hurricane Mills, Tennessee.
He was a student at WVU Parkersburg extension and was pursuing a degree in the medical field. He was employed at The Community Fitness Center in Ripley, WV, and was a member of Young Life Maranatha Fellowship in St. Albans, WV.
He was predeceased by his sister, Kathryn Elizabeth Schmidt, grandmother, Betty Roberts and great grandmother, Marie Whitlock Bell.
Tristan is survived by his father, John H. Schmidt (Joyce Wingo); mother, Mary Alice Schmidt; sister, Rachel and stepsister, Mandy (Dominick) Pellegrin; Kevin Hemsworth, who was like a brother; grandfather, Marvin (Rosemary) Roberts; uncle, Mark Roberts and his daughter, Maria Ann Roberts; and many aunts, uncles and cousins.
Service will be 2:00 p.m. Tuesday, May 3, 2016 at Maranatha Fellowship, 2910 Kanawha Terrace, St. Albans, WV with Pastors Jamie Wright, Terry Hogue and Richard Myers officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Memorial Park in South Charleston. The family will receive friends 2 hours prior to the service at the church.
The family wishes to thank the emergency services in Jackson County, the Jackson General Hospital and wishes to particularly thank the entire trauma service teams at CAMC General Division under the direction of Dr. Miguel Matos.
A heartfelt thank you goes out to close family and friends, Tim and Melinda Whitlock, Mary Gomez, Larry Womack and all of Tristan’s special group of friends for their love and support.
