Curtis M. Ryan, 81 of Alum Creek, died Monday, September 25, 2000 at CAMC Memorial Division Emergency Room after a long illness.

He was retired from E. I. Dupont at Washington Works, was a member of the Masonic Lodge, AF & AM #79 Griffithsville, was a Baptist and an Army veteran of WWII.

He is survived by his: 1 Son: Jim Ryan of Alum Creek, WV; Daughter-in-Law and Caregiver: Vada Ryan of Alum Creek, WV; 2 Grandsons: Phillip and Jamon Ryan; 1 Great Grandson: Austin Ryan; 5 Sisters: Ada McCormick of South Charleston, W V; Lois Yates of MD; Iola Kerns of Ripley, WV; Anna Lou Cassle of Yawkey, WV; Trudy Fankhanel of Huntington, W V; 1 Brother: Kenny Ryan of Alum Creek, WV;

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Thursday, September 28, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. Burial will be held in Forks of Coal Memorial Park, Alum Creek. Friends may call on Wednesday, September 27, 2000 from 6 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

He was a retired pipefitter and a member of the Plumbers and Pipefitter Local 625.
