GLEN MAY, 72, OF ST. ALBANS DIED TUESDAY, OCTOBER 29, 1996 AT HOME AFTER A SHORT ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED LINEMAN WITH INTERNATIONAL BROTHERHOOD OF ELECTRICAL WORKERS, A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF KANAWHA COUNTY, A PROTESTANT AND A WWII ARMY VETERAN.

HE IS SURVIVED BY: 1 SON: STEVE MAY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 1 DAUGHTER: PATRICIA JOAN MCGRAW OF MCGRAWS, WV; 3 BROTHERS: PAUL MAY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; HOOVER MAY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; ROBERT “BOB” MAY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 2 SISTERS: RUTH BRYAN OF ST. ALBANS, WV; BETTY MCCLURE OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 5 GRANDCHILDREN; 2 GREAT GRANDCHILDREN.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON FRIDAY, NOVEMBER 1, 1996 AT 11:00 AM WITH PASTOR DON MAXSON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN PINE GROVE CEMETERY, MCCORKLE. FRIENDS MAY CALL ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 31, 1996 AT THE FUNERAL HOME FROM 6 TO 8 PM.

JAMES LEONARD SMITH, JR., 47, OF ST. ALBANS DIED SATURDAY, OCTOBER 26, 1996 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL, SO. CHARLESTON, AFTER AN APPARENT HEART ATTACK.

HE WAS A TRUCK DRIVER FOR ORDERS & HAYNES, A MEMBER OF THE TEAMSTERS LOCAL #175, AND WAS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF KANAWHA COUNTY.

HE IS SURVIVED BY: HIS WIFE: SHERRY SMITH; 2 SONS: JAMES LEONARD SMITH, III OF ST. ALBANS, WV; KEITH JASON SMITH OF ST. ALBANS, WV; FATHER: JAMES LEONARD SMITH, SR. OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; 3 BROTHERS: JEFF SMITH OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; CHARLIE SMITH OF ST. ALBANS, WV; TOM SMITH OF SO. CHARLESTON, WV; 2 SISTERS: MRS. VENUS DEERING OF JACKSONVILLE, FL; MRS. RAY ELKINS, 88, OF SOD DIED TUESDAY, OCTOBER 22, 1996 AT THOMAS MEMORIAL HOSPITAL IN SOUTH CHARLESTON AFTER A LONG ILLNESS.

HE WAS A RETIRED ELECTRICIAN FROM UNION CARBIDE WITH 30 YEARS OF SERVICE. HE WAS A MEMBER OF COBBS CREEK MISSIONARY BAPTIST CHURCH AT SOD WHERE HE HAD SERVICED AS A SUNDAY SCHOOL TEACHER, A SUNDAY SCHOOL SUPERINTENDENT AND A CHOIR MEMBER.

HE IS SURVIVED BY: HIS WIFE: OPAL ELKINS; 1 DAUGHTER: DINAR HOLSTEIN OF SOD, WV; 1 SISTER: LULA MURPHY OF ST. ALBANS, WV; 2 GRANDCHILDREN: APRIL ESTEP OF SOD, WV; CRAIG MCCOY OF SOD, WV.

SERVICES WILL BE HELD AT CURRY FUNERAL HOME, ALUM CREEK, ON THURSDAY, OCTOBER 24, 1996 AT 2:00 PM WITH PASTOR PHIL SUSTER AND PASTOR CLARENCE HUTTON OFFICIATING. BURIAL WILL BE HELD IN LIVELY CEMETERY, SOD. FRIENDS MAY CALL AT THE FUNERAL HOME ON WEDNESDAY, OCTOBER 23, 1996 FROM 7 TO 9 PM.
