Dorcas W. Adams, 79, of Julian went home to be with the Lord Sunday, September 20, 2015 at Hillcrest Health Care in Danville.
She was a member of Olive Branch Baptist Church.
Dorcas was preceded in death by her parents, Earl and Burchel Woodrum; sister, Wanda Edwards; and daughter, Patricia McCallister.
She is survived by her husband of 60 years, Chester; son, Greg (Carol Gee) Adams; and sister, Louise (Ben) Pauley.
Service will be 1:00 p.m. Tuesday, September 22, at Curry Funeral Home in Alum Creek with Pastor Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will follow at Orchard Hills Memory Gardens. The family will receive friends from 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at the funeral home.
Dear Greg & family: Prayers and fond memories are what you have to remember your dearly departed mother. May the love of family and friends comfort you during these difficult days. Our most heartfelt condolences go out to you.

Our thoughts are with all of you Chester, Gregg and Carol. Dorcas was always so much fun and oh those wonderful breakfasts she could whip up. There are so many good times we had at the Adams family home that I could write a book about them. Love and prayers to you all.
