Barbara Fay Payne, 84, of Woodville, died Saturday, December 27, 2014 at Hillcrest Health Care Center, Danville.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond Dewey (Bus) Payne, and children Sampie, Lonnie Willis, Chuck and Phyllis.
She is survived by her daughter, Lilly Payne, Danville; sons, Johnny (Kathy) Payne, Newton Falls, OH; Rocky (Regina) Payne, Danville; and Daniel (Loria) Payne, Sod; brother, Wootson Jennings Miller, Jr.; 13 grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.
Services will be held 1:00pm on Thursday, January 1, 2015, at Curry Funeral Home, 2097 Childress Road, Alum Creek, WV with Pastor David Sperry officiating. Burial will follow at Lively Cemetery, Sod. Family and friends may gather one hour prior to the service. In lieu of flowers, please make contributions toward funeral expenses.
So sorry about your loss. She was a very special lady and Mom’s (Della Ashley) best friend. I remember the laughter they shared and the many prayers that the prayed together for so many others. Now she is up in Heaven rejoicing with Mom and Raymond and many more. Prayers for the family. Debbie
