I am so sorry for Auntie Verda’s passing. I remember when I was a kid, visiting from the North with my dad.
She was soo sweet and nice to me. She was an awesome hugger too. That is what I remember the most.
I think I learned how to “bear” hug from her. She gave me such huge and tight ones, that I could feel her beautiful heart beating against mine. I will never forget that one awesome hug.

Folks that are near and dear, look forward to my hugs just as much. Thank-you Auntie Verda for that wonderful, spiritual and life lasting memory.

My love and heart to all the family. My thoughts and prayers are with you.

To Verda’s Family,

I am very saddened to hear of her passing. When I was younger I used to go to Sumerco Church of God for VBS. I will always remember her as a sweet and kind lady that loved the Lord. Just know that you all will be in my prayers. Sorry that I wasn’t able to make it to her funeral. April Hudson Hildebrand

Thank you so much for the kind words and sharing your memories of her. I smiled a little and cried when I read them. I will miss my grandmother so much and I’m so happy to know she touched so many lives, making them a little brighter. She was one of the greatest women I have ever known and will be missed by so many. Thank you again for you post.

Laura,

You are welcome. I don’t know if you know who I am, because most people don’t know me by married name. I graduated in 1992 from Duval with your brother Harley. April (Hudson) Hildebrand
