Douglas M. Griffith, 64, of Dunbar, died Monday, November 20, 2006 at Hubbard Hospice House Charleston.

He was preceded in death by his parents, James Kenner and Bremen Griffith, sister Faye Yerrid , nephew Jimmy Griffith and neices Susan Riling and Cindy Dimock.

He was a member of the Teamsters-Western Conference, and a retired mechanic for Wal-Mart.

He is survived by his:

2 daughters:

Cody Griffith of Venice, Florida, and Amy (Paul) Lutz of Tampa, Florida;

1 Son:

Kevin (Connie) Griffith of St. Albans;

3 Grandchildren:

Cameron and Paige Griffith, and Raleigh Lutz;

6 Sisters:

Betty Riling of St. Albans, Jewell Haddad of Charleston, Phyllis “Peg” Griffith of Alum Creek, Patty Dimock of Venice Florida, Jeanette Rieck of Newtown Square, Pennsylvania, and Carley Jo Means of Severna Park, Maryland;

2 Brothers:

Kenny Griffith of Hammond, Louisiana; Jack Griffith of Denton, Texas;

 

Funeral service will be held Saturday, November 25, 2006 at 3:00 PM at Curry Funeral Home 2097 Childress Road Alum Creek with Pastor Billy Lucas officiating. Burial will be at the Forks of Coal Memorial Park Alum Creek. Visitation will be from 1 to 3 PM Saturday at the funeral home.

In lieu of flowers, family request donation be made to Hubbard Hospice House c/o Kanawha Hospice 1143 Dunbar Ave. Dunbar, WV 25064
