Everette “Doug” Graley

Everette “Doug” Graley, 66, St. Albans passed away Thursday, September 22, 2011 at home after a long illness.   He was freight truck driver; a veteran of the Vietnam War and a member of the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768 at Alum Creek.

He is survived by his wife: Linda; two daughters: Barbara (Mick) Newell, and Ingrid (Rick) Toler; Step-children, Dawn (Eddie) Lyons, and  Gary (Tonya) Wartenburg; Brother, Harold (Lana) Graley; seven grandchildren, Cheyenne, Dylan, Caleb, Brittany, Ashley, Kayli, and Jaden; great grandson, Bentley.

Funeral service will be 3:00 pm Sunday, September 25, 2011 at Emmons Church of God with Rev. Michael Graley officiating. Burial will follow in Gillispie Cemetery with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768 of Alum Creek. . Family and Friends will gather 1 hour prior to the service at the church.

In lieu of flowers the family requests donations be made toward funeral expenses.

I feel like I lost my life I miss you so much papaw today not a good day I miss you I wished you were here papaw gosh why you haft to leave me … You were my world , I remember I would fight over you .. Now I can’t .. I love you so much papaw .. I will always be your Papaws girl . People tell me to just smile but I can’t sometimes all I can do is go to papaw and imagine you laying there .. It killed me when i found out you had cancer , I thought you weren’t going to go that fast . But I’m an 10th grade now & bout to be 17 in 5 months its different not seeing you at my parties </3 I know your watching me but I wanna see you … One day I will but I need you . You were there for me more then anything , you always tell me you hurt a boy over me lol . I miss traveling . I miss everything . Every laugh , every smile .. Good ol talks we had , even though I didn't like it but I would die to watch the news with you again & make your sweet tea <3 every time I visit you I give you a glass of tea , well I love you papaw <3

To the family,
I was sorry to hear about Doug’s passing and I know he will be missed. I ‘m glad I got to spend some time with him down in Ga.

Linda,am very saddened at the loss of Doug.My heart goes out to you &yours I will surely miss him a great deal. I have truely lost a brother in arms,may GOD be with you all.
