Robbie Holstein, 22 of Ridgeview, died Saturday, December 23, 2000 at CAMC General Division after an automobile accident in Charleston near the I-64/77 split.

He was a former employee of Holstein Tree and Landscaping.

He is survived by his: Parents: Isaac and Betty Holstein; 2 Brothers: Johnny Holstein of Alabama; Michael Holstein of Ridgeview, WV; Maternal Grandparents: Lester and Genevieve Cantley of Peytona, WV; Paternal Grandmother: Mary Ellen Holstein o f Danville, WV.

Services will beheld at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Thursday, December 28, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Randall Griggs officiating. Burial will be held in Holstein Family Cemetery, Dartmont. Friends may call on Wednesday, December 27, 2000 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Dempsey F. Holstine, 76 of Brounland, died Friday, December 22, 2000 in Cabell Huntington Hospital, Huntington after a long illness.

He was a retired coal miner and attended the Potter House at Alum Creek and House of Prayer at Olcott.

He is survived by his Wife: Margie; 4 Daughters: Carolyn Sue Lewallan of St. Albans, WV; Mary Adkins of Hamlin, W V; Debbie Casto of Charleston, WV; Patty Morgan of Lewisburg, WV; 2 Sisters: Betty Vannater of Charleston, WV; Geneive Cantley of Charleston, WV; 17 Grandchildren; 4 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, December 24, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Rick Harless and Eddie Belcher officiating. Burial will be in Holstine Cemetery at Dartmont. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the funeral home.

James E. Holdren, 60, of Sumerco died Friday, December 22, 2000 at home after a short illness.

He was a maintenance worker for 32 years at the University of Charleston and a member of Pine Grove Baptist Church.

He is survived by: 2 Daughters: Beth Holdren of South Charleston, WV Jennifer Holdren of South Charleston, WV 4 Sisters: Rosalee Bowles of Grafton, OH; Sharon Wandling of Alum Creek, WV Judy Adkins of South Charleston, WV Vera Bennett of Tampa, FL; 2 Brothers: Darrell Holdren of South Charleston, WV Carl Holdren of Sumerco, WV; 2 Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Pine Grove Baptist Church on Sunday, December 24, 2000 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Jack Miller officiating. Burial will be in Pine Grove Cemetery, McCorkle. Paul Hart

Paul Hart, 54 of Charleston, died Monday, December 18, 2000 at WVU Medical Center after a short illness.

He was a native of Guyton, Georgia and a resident of Charleston, West Virginia since 1975. He was a Ph.D. chemist and graduate of the University of Georgia. He was an Associate Laboratory Director for the National Energy Technology Laboratory, U.S. Department of Energy Office of Environmental Quality and Nuclear Security Morgantown, West Virginia, and Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. He was a Union Carbide Corporate R & D chemist from 1974-1992. He was a member of the Executive Committee of the American Nuclear Society’s Decommissioning, Decontamination and Reutilization Division. He was also a past president of the Charleston Lions Club, Young Republican Party, and the Kanawha County Republican Executive Committee. He was a member of the Zion Lutheran Church, Guyton, Georgia. He was a board member of the American Conservative Union.

He is survived by his: Wife: Judy; Mother: Frances Hart of Guyton, GA; 1 Brother: Gene Hart of Guyton, GA; 1 Sister: Pat Nutting of Guyton, GA.

Services will be held on Thursday, December 21, 2000 at 10:00 AM at Zion Lutheran Church, 120 Noel Conway Road, Guyton, GA with Pastor Ohsiek officiating. Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek in charge of arrangements.

Services will be held at the Alum Creek Independent Missionary Baptist Church on Tuesday, December 19, 2000 at 11:00 AM with Pastor Frank Chapman officiating. He was a WWII Navy veteran. He was a retired electrical engineer for Capitol Cablevision, a member of the Spirit of Life Church, Dunbar. He was area director of Operation Blessing and treasurer for Tri State Christian Counseling Services and Business Men’s Fellowship USA.

He is survived by his: Wife: Tina; 2 Sons: Lee Nelson Humphries of Hurricane, WV; Clifford Humphries of Kanawha City, WV; 1 Daughter: Hayley Humphries at home;
