HE WAS A RETIRED SECURITY GUARD FOR UNION CARBIDE IN SOUTH CHARLESTON WITH 32 YEARS OF SERVICE. HE WAS A CATHOLIC, A LIFE LONG MEMBER OF KANAWHA COUNTY AND A WWII ARMY VETERAN SERVING IN THE 13TH ARMORED DIVISION.

HE WAS THE CURRENT PASTOR OF OLIVE BAPTIST CHURCH AT JULIAN AND WAS A FORMER PASTOR OF THE PINE GROVE BAPTIST CHURCH AT MCCORKLE. HE WAS A LIFELONG RESIDENT OF LINCOLN COUNTY AND HE SERVED AS A HONOR GUARD IN THE THIRD INFANTRY DURING THE KOREAN CONFLICT.
