She was a homemaker, a volunteer at the West Virginia Cultural Center, and was a former employee of Rich Oil.

Kermit Rea Stickler, 85, of Yawkey died Thursday, March 25, 1999 at home after a long illness.

He was a retired operator from FMC with 3 7 years of service, a life long resident of Lincoln county, and a member of the Hopewell Primitive Baptist Church in Cross Lanes. He was preceded in death by his wife, Helen and a special nephew, Mack Wade.

He is survived by his: 1 Daughter and Son-in-Law: Joan and Kenneth Mitchell of Yawkey, WV; Twin Brother: Thurman Stickler of Yawkey, WV; 3 Grandsons: Mark, John &Matthew; 4 Great Grandchildren: Jessica, Jonathan, Megan &Caroline; Caregiver: Jean Dillon of Sumerco, WV.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, March 28, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Elder Willard Bird officiating. Burial will be held in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call on Saturday, March 27, 1999 from 6 to 8 PM at the funeral home.

Hattie A. McCormick, 83, of Sumerco, Lincoln County, died Monday, March 22, 1999 at the home of her daughter, Regina Loftis of Alum Creek, after a short illness.

She was born in Yawkey, was a lifelong resident of Lincoln County, a 49 year member of Cobbs Creek Missionary Baptist Church, a caregiver for the elderly in her home and was a foster parent.

She is also survived by her: 2 Brothers: Dan Estep of Yawkey, WV; Omer Estep of Alum Creek, W V; 3 Grandchildren: Ronnie and Troy Loftis of Sumerco, WV; Elizabeth Vickers of Sumerco, WV; 2 Great Grandchildren: Clint Good Dakota Clay 1 Foster Son: Tim Workman of Salisbury, MD; 3 Foster Grandchildren Special Friend: Lavana Lively of Sumerco, WV.

Services will be held at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Wednesday, March 24, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Clarence Hutton and Pastor Arnold B. Cook officiating. Burial will be held in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call one hour prior to the service at the funeral home.
