Brooks W. Mason, 72 of Charleston, West Virginia, went home to be with the Lord on Thursday, February 7, 2002 at Banbridge Care and Rehabilitation for Dunbar.
He was retired from the West Virginia Department of Highways in Morgantown. He served as a U.S. Marine during the Korean War and was a member of the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768. He was a member of Oakwood Baptist Church. He was preceded in death by his wife, Garnet C. Mason.
He is survived by: Daughter: Maria “Chiki” Mullins of Roswell, GA; 2 Sons: Brooks Kevin of San Diego, CA Mark R. of Charleston, WV; 1 Brother: Cliff Mason of Charleston, WV; 3 Grandchildren: Adrienne Mullins, Kyle Watkins Mason &Olivia Ruth Mason.
Service will be held at 2:00 PM on Sunday, February 10, 2002 at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek with Pastor David Bess officiating. Burial will be in Forks of Coal Memorial Park with Military Graveside Rites conducted by the Benny Padilla VFW Post 4768.. Friends may call Saturday, February 9, 2002 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.
