Bernice R. McCallister, 87,of Yawkey died Friday, December 10, 1999 at Kathy’s Tender Touch Personal Care Home, Julian after a long illness.

He was a member of Beech Grove Baptist Church, a retired yard supervisor from Dunbar Lumber and retired from UMWA.

He is survived by his: 2 Daughters: Ninnon Pauley of Yawkey, W V; Sue Carol Bailey of Dunbar, WV; 1 Sister: Josephine Gillenwater of Winfield, WV; 5 Grandchildren; 12 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Sunday, December 12, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Pastor Oshel Bell officiating. Burial will be held in Orchard Hills Memory Gardens, Yawkey. Friends may call on Saturday, December 11,1999 from 7 to 9 PM at the funeral home.

Roscoe W. Arbogast Sr., 85, of Bickmore, died Thursday, December 2, 1999 at home after a short illness.

He was a retired foreman in the Fine Chemical Department for Union Carbide with 38 years service.

He is survived by: 4 Sons: Bobby K. Arbogast of South Charleston, WV; Paul Arbogast of South Charleston, WV; Ivan James Arbogast of Dayton, OH; Roscoe Arbogast, Jr., of Waldo, FL; 1 Daughter: Peggy Kidd of Alum Creek, WV; 1 Brother: Edward Arbogast of Titusville, FL; 2 Sisters: Ona Slack of Lecanto, FL; Marie Lalli of Tucson, AZ; 12 Grandchildren; and 7 Great Grandchildren

Services will be held at Arbogast Chapel located on Beechy Ridge in Clay County, Sunday, December 5, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Mike Schoonover officiating. Burial will be in Arbogast Cemetery, Clay County. Friends may call Saturday from 7 to 9 PM at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek and one hour prior to service at the church.

Gilda J. Brewster, 73, of St. Albans died Wednesday, December 1, 1999 at Thomas Memorial Hospital, South Charleston after a long illness.

She was a homemaker, a member of the Highlawn Church of God, St. Albans, and a retired employee of the Kroger Co.

She is survived by her Step Daughter: Marilyn Griffith of St. Albans, WV; Step Son: James N. Brewster of Richwood, WV; Sister: Louise Means of South Charleston, WV; 2 Step Grandsons: Trevor Ward of St. Albans, WV; James W. Brewster ofl3ichwood, WV; 2 Step Great Grandchildren; Several Nieces and Nephews.

Services will be held at the Highlawn Church of God, St. Albans, on Friday, December 3, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Roy Young officiating. Burial will be held in Tyler Mountain Memory Gardens, Cross Lanes. Friends may call one hour prior to service at the church. She was a homemaker and was a member of the Alum Creek Church of Christ.

Services will be held at Alum Creek Church of Christ on Sunday, November 28, 1999 at 2:30 PM with Minister Gerald Watts, Minister Richard Runyan and Minister Jeff Williams officiating. Burial will be held in Pauley Cemetery, Alum Creek. Friends may call on Saturday, November 27, 1999 from 6 to 9 PM at the Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek. Hal S. Vickers

Hal S. Vickers, 98, of Alkol died Wednesday, November 17, 1999 at CAMC Memorial Division after a long illness.

He was a retired well driller for Owens-Libby Owens Gas Co.. Prior to that he delivered the Gazette and Daily Mail in the Boone and Lincoln County areas and he was a Christian for 70 years and a member of Morrisvale Missonary Baptist Church where he served as a deacon. He was a former member of Sycamore Grove Baptist Church where he served as a deacon for 50 years, a choir director and a Sunday School teacher.

He is survived by his:

Wife: Garnette Matthews Vickers; 1 Daughter: Kathleen Wadsworth ofPanaca, NV; 3 Sons: Harry Vickers of Peterstown, WV; Jack Vickers of Peterstown, WV; Kenneth L. Vickers of Alkol, WV; 2 Sisters: Arzella Hill of Charleston, W V; Alma Huffman of Alkol, W V; 8 Grandchildren; 14 Great Grandchildren.

Services will be held at Curry Funeral Home, Alum Creek, on Saturday, November 20, 1999 at 2:00 PM with Rev. Tony Pauley, Rev. Johnny Vickers, and James L. Wadsworth officiating.
